Hot Winter Hair
Looking after your hair in winter should be focused on extra hydration to get rid of any dryness. Fuzzy, dull strands? They’re a definite no-no!
If you’re in a humid climate (Miami, we mean you!), the weather can affect your hair by making it curly, frizzy or puffy. Prevent hair from becoming unmanageable by using a conditioner after washing it. If your hair is curly, a mousse can help to keep frizz at bay while accentuating the shapes of your curls.
Trendy Tendrils
Once your hair is in its best condition, getting a stunning new hairstyle can revamp your look and make you forget about the cold. Some trendy styles include messy pixie cuts that can include shaved sides and/or texture. The great thing about these styles is that they’re versatile.
Another cut to try is the layered waves look. Not just beach-inspired, this can also work with a shorter cut and stubborn curls, boosting your hair volume while looking sexy, so you can effortlessly move from the hot club to the beach later.
Hair trends are also working in line with the hot Miami temperatures. In fact, big hair is currently stylish so you can tease your difficult locks into something fabulous and if the weather puffs them up, it’s even better!
The Skinny on Gorgeous Skin

The city of Miami is all about being bold and letting your light shine, and that’s what’s being incorporated into the latest beauty trends. Think colorful makeup that sets those balmy nights alight. But good skin is at the foundation of this look. You want skin that looks dew-fresh and vibrant, otherwise your look can fall flat.
Clever Moisturizer
If your skin becomes dry in winter, what’s happening is that fats in the skin which keep skin cells together so that they trap water, are lost. So, you need to make up for this by keeping your skin moisturized.
After using your daily moisturizer, apply a tinted moisturizer to your skin so that you gain coverage that creates clearer skin while also continuing to give your skin nourishment. This is better than lathering on regular foundation that could cause your skin to flake.
Vitamin Boost
As you know, nutrients are important to keep your skin in its healthiest condition, so you want to consume them in your diet but also apply them topically. One of the must-haves is Vitamin E. This has a variety of benefits, such as maintaining the elastic quality of your skin. No wonder it finds its way into so many skincare products!
Other nutrients found in foods can also help to give your skin a boost by keeping it well moisturized, such as fatty acids in fish and flaxseed. Zinc, found in foods such as spinach and pumpkin seeds, helps to nourish flaky skin.
Mattify!
When there’s extra moisture in the air, it can lead to skin that’s oily.Tackle the layer of shine on your skin with mattifying products. As the name suggests, these help to keep your skin matte, thanks to ingredients that absorb oil, such as talc. This will control the shine factor and make you glow without any grease!
